Creative Lead
Through my independent label, Due West Press, I serve as both the Creative Lead and lead manufacturer for a rotating collection of artisan stationery. My role is to bridge the gap between mass-produced greeting cards and high-touch, limited-edition artifacts. I manage the entire product lifecycle—from conceptual hand-drawn illustration to technical screen-print production and retail placement—ensuring each piece carries a distinct "artisan/craft" weight that resonates with local boutique markets.

Vision
The vision for the Due West collection is to elevate everyday correspondence into a tactile experience. Each card—from the whimsical "Jump Rope Santa" and "Bowl of Soul" to the geometric "Snowflake" and "Coffee Cup"—is designed to feel "human." The goal is to provide the community with a physical alternative to digital noise, focusing on imagery that feels both nostalgic and modernly illustrative.

Creative Strategy
I engineered a high-efficiency production model tailored for small-batch retail. By designing specifically for single-color screen printing, I maximized visual impact while maintaining a streamlined manufacturing process.
For the "Jump Rope Santa," I implemented "hand-coloring" for specific details (like the Santa light bulbs), a strategic move that adds individual value to each card, signaling to the customer that the product was physically handled by the artist.

Human Element
This collection is a direct reflection of my commitment to the "hand-made" philosophy. In an era of automated production, these cards are produced in my Idaho studio. Whether it’s commemorating the local coffee culture or the winter season in the Wood River Valley, these products are designed to foster a physical connection between the sender and the recipient. It’s about more than paper; it’s about the joy of the craft shared from one human to another.
