Creative Lead
For this boutique stationery project, I served as the primary illustrator and production lead, focusing on translating a complex natural landscape into a high-utility, single-color format. My role was to develop a "hand-built" visual for Due West Press that worked as a functional piece of correspondence while maintaining the studio's reputation for high-detail, artisan craftsmanship.

Vision
The goal was to create a tactile greeting—a card that felt like a physical extension of the Idaho wilderness. I utilized a high-density illustration style to capture the specific textures of the Sawtooth range, focusing on the interplay between the rugged peaks and the surrounding forest. The vision was to prove that even a small-scale item, like a greeting card, can carry the same narrative weight and "artisan soul" as a large-scale poster or mural.

Human Element
I developed the original drawing directly on transparency film, a technical choice that allowed for a 1:1 transfer of the ink's raw texture to the screen-printing plate. There are no digital tricks here, just honest ink and hand-pulled screens. This approach ensures that every card feels like a unique, hand-built artifact, connecting the sender and the recipient through the shared experience of the craft.
