Obama & Lincoln in words..

Read: Two Speeches on Race - from the New York Review of Books

Read: Two Speeches on Race - from the New York Review of Books

Senator Barack Obama's speech at the National Constitution Center in Philadelphia on March 18, 2008, and Abraham Lincoln's at the Cooper Union in New York on February 27, 1860.

"The most damaging charge against each was an alleged connection with unpatriotic and potentially violent radicals. [...] How to face such charges? Each decided to address them openly in a prominent national venue, well before their parties’ nominating conventions."

"Each looked for larger patterns under the surface bitternesses of their day. Each forged a moral position that rose above the occasions for their speaking."

Please Vote for Barack Obama..

VISIT BARACK OBAMA's BLUE PRINT FOR CHANGE

This man is serious about positive change in the psyche of Americans here and abroad. And in doing so, helping to foster the types of real, positive, powerful changes that America wants to provide for the rest of the world. I believe in this person as a leader. I believe he personifies the title, President of the United States of America.

I mean, look.. he's giving you his ideas to download and review and discuss.. He's making it easy for us to be involved in what a democratic society truly is. For and of the people.

Hitchhiking across the universe..

So what does it all mean? It means nothing, it means we're drifting aimlessly through the vast nothing of space. Think about it, a huge globe of land, water, air and populations, just bobbing its way through the galaxy. Where is our particular galaxy drifting, and what is it drifting in? If the universe were a primordial ooze, we'd be slowly sludging our way through it, making a slushing sound, and causing an awful trail of ooze. But we're not, we're floating, or existing, or just hanging around in space like it's no big deal. There are bigger forces at play here my friends. We are kept in this orbit, cycling around our core sun, always spinning, always moving, always rotating on an axis. I'll be the first one to admit that I would have liked to be the Voyager 2 satellite thrust into the void and black of space.. forgoing any means of returning, and just going out in search of the unknown. The ultimate hitchhiker. Man made devices floating light years away. What a breakthrough.
