An Injection of Morality

I wish my parents would watch this. I wish anyone who believes in something higher to watch this. In fact, any believers or non-believers, politician or citizen, please watch this video, and actually just listen.

Look What You've Done!

Congratulations to my hometown, you have officially created a masterpiece of shit. Look at that monstrosity you call the Greenwood Park Mall & Surrounding Strip Malls. What you should rename it is, "Parking Lot Pavement City"... a real waste of resources, causing more pollution and ugliness than it's worth. Not only did you create this area of hell, you've maintained a steady growth of shit straight up Madison, US31 and SR135. Next will be the crapinization of US37.. It's already starting in Martinsville, and not to forget the horrific tale of shitsville that is the I465/US37 Exit/Entrance. "Truck Stop From Hell's Firey Pit"

I just want the people who planned this wonderful "expansion" to stop and rethink exactly what the hell you thought you were doing. They called it GREENWOOD for a reason. Now we've taken what was given to us, and slapped on thousands of acres full of pavement, cement, cars, buildings, signs, restaurants and shops where you can buy nothing but CRAP! There we go, that's the future of our great little city.

There is something called "progress" which is a valuable term to know if you're planning on building a city. Progress means reserving the resources for your city, using your land wisely, creating a healthier environment for the future of your town. Instead, what do you do? You keep paving, you keep sprawling, you keep creating parking lot, after parking lot, AFTER PARKING LOT, AFTER PARKING LOT!!!!! over the great green sprawl that used to inhabit the land we now sadly call Greenwood.

What's crazy is that my house was built on a previous corn field. I know because I watched the neighborhood grow, and watched the surrounding cornfield get swallowed up by neighborhoods. But then I look back on it, and think about the families and people that live in that area, and I think how much room they have between each other. Greenwood is nothing but a sprawling event in progress. There has to be a better way to conserve a city. Just imagine if Indianapolis had progressed correctly, and didn't sprawl. Greenwood would be the outskirts of a bustling, compact, resourceful city. Instead we have monuments of pavement called The Greenwood Park Mall.

So long to the green wood. So long...

SUNshine-RA

The civilizations of the past have been used as the foundation of civilizations today. Because of this, the world keeps looking toward the past for guidance. Too many people are following the past. In this new space age, this is dangerous. The past is DEAD and those who are following the past are doomed to die and be like the past. It is no accident that those who die are said to have passed since those who PASSED are PAST.

- SUN RA

Indeed it's a beautiful day to look forward to the future. The world is wrapped in an icy, snowy, cold winter blanket, and there isn't anything that can beat that feeling. I wanted so bad to miss work today. I stayed home as long as I could. Something about me just keeps me forever 12 years old whenever it snows. That possibility that when I wake up the next day, EVERYTHING! will be canceled. But alas, nothing was canceled today and life as we know it keeps on chugging.

It's Valentine's Day, so for all you people out there buying the hype, have fun, good luck and next time save your money on something for yourself, it'll be much more appreciated. NOW EVERYONE GO OUTSIDE AND BUILD A SNOWMAN! HAVE A SNOWBALL FIGHT! FOR GOSH SAKES JUST GO PLAY IN THE SNOW!!!

February Outlook

Food, love, life: So many things are better when they're taken slow. Be unafraid about taking things at the right pace -- even if that's much slower than you're used to. It's not quantity, it's quality.
