I saw something today I never thought possible. Everything I've written about finally came true.

Read: Iraqi religious leaders call for peace

Wow, did you see that? The words religious leaders and the action of calling for peace were actually put in the exact same sentence. I don't see a death toll in that headline. Does anybody else?

God damnit, that's beautiful.

A World Apart

Sit and think about this. Everyone in the Middle East believes they're in their own world. People in the Netherlands think they are in their own world. Every single person in America believes that they are in their own world. The people of Africa believe themselves to be in their own world. The people of Asia positively think they are in their own world. Some people in South America might not even know the world exists beyond the forest.. believing they are in their own world. Every other person on every other continent thinks they are in their own world. You think you're in your own world.. I think I'm in my own little world of thoughts, reasons, differences, similarities, comparisons, passions, faiths, cultures, visions, personalitites... We're all trapped in our own worlds.. unable to see that we are a part of ONE WORLD.. earth.

WHAT ON THIS GOD (and I emphasize god being anything you believe to be a higher power than yourself) GIVEN PLANET MAKES YOU THINK PEOPLE ARE GOING TO PAY ATTENTION TO YOUR WORLD IF IT IS CONSTANTLY BEING VIEWED AS VIOLENT, HATEFUL, IGNORTANT, BELITTLING, INTIMIDATING and FULL OF DEATH AND FEAR?!?! President Bush, are you listening?

People listen when words are said no louder than a whisper... Put down your guns!.. EVERYONE! my country included, the great US of A.. and whisper peace to your neighbor. NEIGHBOR! That person in the totally far off planet sitting next to you on the bus, in the elevator, on the television surrounded by war and tearany, that person sitting in the corporate news chair blindly reading the day's death toll, but consciously thinking, "What the hell did I just read?"...

Your neighbor, my neighbor, our neighbors. Even those sick pieces of shit who molest children. Even those sick f*cks and corrupt dumbasses running the American government. Even those sick, twisted, confused people who blow themselves up in a crowd, or fly planes into buildings full of innocent people. Down to the person who sees their last day alive in an executionor's chair. All of you, even the good do'ers, even the hateful, even the blind and lost.

re: de plane news

This was the subject line to an email I received today. Curiously, of course, I clicked on the email only to find a stupid ad for pills. Oh well, it was a good subject starter.

de plane news goes like this, life as we know it does not exist. We are all consciously making this all up at the same time, agreeing on the same things, disagreeing on the same things, pretending that making it to the top is the most important thing in the world, struggling to survive in a world continuing to flood every aspect of our lives. So does life exist? Perhaps it does in the physical sense, but everything from how we hear sounds, to how we interpret language is all made up in our brains, and how we communicate. Words, phrases, symbols, letters, numbers.. all imagined and created by man.

In a world without man, there are no numbers, there is only life. There are no letters that form words that destroy a man's inner fiber. There is only the coming of the day, and the end of the day. I can't imagine how quiet it would be without human existance on this planet. I wonder if man could imagine and create a way of not ever saying another word. I wonder if I'll ever get to see the end of humanity.

I could just imagine the view.

Big News

I'm only going to say this once, because it might shock, astound, or otherwise confuse some people.

On Feb. 12th, 2006.. I asked Antoinette Rae Kessler to marry me. She said yes. We're engaged!

Antoinette is from North Dakota, and has been living in Portland for the past three years, she's a couple years older than me, and one hell of an awesome person. We both plan on making eachother the weirdest, most craziest couple anyone could meet. It's just normal that way.

Look for wedding celebrations will be later this year. This aint gonna be yer normal service.

All personal concerns can either be left with Kevin, or kept to yourself. We know this is crazy to only date for a month and get engaged, but... for all you lovers out there who know the feeling, then you'll know exactly how this feels.

I don't know at all anymore..

Just what this all means. Seperation from the skin that used to be. Like a snake shedding his skin, like a bear waking up from hibernation. All a part of this renewal process. If only this were true of the world surrounding me. Finally when I find solice within my own soul, I hear things in the daily headlines claiming the world has gone mad because of cartoons. CARTOONS PEOPLE!!!!

When will we humans understand this. America needs a new president, The Middle East needs to quit fighting with eachother, Terrorists need to view peace as a more powerful means of persuasion, The white and blacks need to start seeing that we're all human, no matter what the color of the skin is. Guns need to be turned into water pistols. The world needs to quit trying to define thick lines between our cultures, The Media needs to quit taking everything like the end of the world (so do i for that matter). This coming from a man who just lost his job today. No need for a violent protest, I'll just move on and find another place of employment.

When will this all stop? When will the evil in the world realize that this world spins better without evil. No one will ever get this. It is something we will continue to accept. Evil will be a norm. Terror will be a norm. War will be a norm. Violence, Death and Destruction will be a norm. Force feeding people horrible news through their televisions 24/7 will be the norm.

Oh wait, we're already there.

People, of any color, race, ethnicity, financial background.......
do your part to reverse this cycle.

There is revolution in evolution, but only if it's towards a better tomorrow.

The Prognosticators of Prognosticators

The Groundhog rose reluctantly, but alertly.. and stated in groundhog-ese, "I definately.. DO NOT see my shadow."

The mountains are out in the distance, snow capped and filled with winter's blanket, with which I wish was under (say that five times fast). The sight of that snow leaves me to believe there will be more winter ahead. Walking to work today, I saw no shadow below me, no signs of life.. zip. My forecast means nothing however, but it might suggest that this winter is supposed to be a little longer than usual. The spring will make up for the shadowless days of yore.
