the bible

what a strange book.. instead of looking at its pages, i got to see paintings based on the bible, which gave me a new perspective on the past world. i was made to believe that the bible held the truths to a happy life, because somewhere in there is jesus, and if you find him, beg for his forgiveness, then i can forever be happy in heaven.

i didn't see that when i was staring at centuries old paintings in Florence.. i saw disguisting things, i saw the fury of god's wrath, i saw skeletons and brimstone. someone should have told me this before, i would have been way into the bible.

ah.. screw that conversation. religion is a boring topic. so many cynical things i could type out right now. ironic findings in the land of religion that is the vatican. but it all amounts to negative feelings, so we'll skip that, and go straight to the clouds. where you'll see mountains and water and fresh air!

most of the historical things i learned on my trip i found pretty cool.. although i'm no history buff, and too much info at one time shuts my brain off, so we got just the amount of knowledge that two weeks could give us.

what was more important than the knowledge i gained, was the imagination that built inside my head.. every new thing i saw i attached my eyes to. every building, every point, every shape, every sculpture, every sky, every bit of water, every everything.. it's insane how much inspiration is building up. it'll take weeks to decipher, but i have a feeling my artwork is going to explode soon, with crazy shit that i haven't even dreamt about.

so that's about it.. i learned a lot, i walked a lot, i didn't sleep much, but i gained a whole new perspective on people and life. isn't that what it's all about?

now put your left arm in, and you shake it all about..
